As a final report, I am proud to say I improved greatly on giving speeches! :] My final 2 speeches were my informative and my persuasive . My informative was decent but was lacking enthusiasm and good eye contact. Whereas my persuasive was only lacking some information that could have been more supportive or helpful. On the good side my informative showed my improvements on the side that i was less hesative. My persuasive was by far my best because I did not hesitate or say "umm". I also came in with a strong introduction and made my points firmly.

My demonstrative speech did not turn out the way I wanted it too but it has good and bad opinions. I went up feeling more confident and less shakey. I was still nervous but tried to keep it less obvious. I tried to avoid words such as; like, ummm, so. I knew the information I was talking about better. I made sure I looked around the room more than before. Lastly it felt easier to speak to my audience.

Things I need to work on vary to things I speak on. This speech in particular I was not particularly prepared for the best even though I knew the information better. I still get fidgity and restless when I am in front of everyone but that keeps getting better everytime I speak. I need to work on finding different places in the room to look at, and not do it unevenly (look to one side more than the other). And lastly the thing I need to work on is staying enthusiastic and showing emotions.

In my informative speech, I improved in some places but was still lacking in others. I need to work on being more enthusiastic and keeping eye contact. These things I need to work on will be hard but through practice and being persistant it is all possible :]

Brown Bag Speech Critique:

In my speech I did not keep very good eye contact with my audience. I was very fidgity while trying to talk. I also scattered my words on certain topics not keeping complete points with my items. As a speaker I was a 7 out of 10 on the nervous scale. I felt like I could not stop shaking and my mouth got really dry towards the end even though I could have said more. I will work my best to improve and hopefully my next presentation won't be nearly as painful to watch :]

For the cast of "Taming the Shrew" i chose the following actors for the roles of Bianca, Katherine, Baptista, Gremio, Trenio, Lucentio, Petrucio, and Hortensio

Bianca would be played by Keira Knightly because she is true beauty and plays historic roles well

Katherine would be played by Helena Bonham Carter because this actress has done so well with playing some nasty roles in other movies

Baptista would be played by Alan Rickman because he has the certain air of a powerful charisma on screen

Gremio would be played by George Clooney for he is a classic debonair always trying to win the ladies for himself

Trenio would be Vince Vaughn because his personality fits Trenio's in the book, kind of free spirited and exubberant

Lucentio would be played by Brad Pitt because he is the outsider going for a hard task, and Brad ALWAYS gets results by the end

Petrucio will be played by Johnny Depp because no matter the task as hand, they just see it as a challenge and take it on head first

Hortensio would be played as Orlando Bloom because he is the original pretty-boy and would fall head-over-heels like in Pirates of the Carribbean

"Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are good is like expecting the bull not to charge because you are a vegetarian."- Dennis Wholey (1937-)

"Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."- Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (1900-1944)

Both of these quotes are examples of wit because they demonstrate the use of knowledge to make a point that can be intellectual humor.

This image is protaying sarcasm, the sense of verbal irony, by saying that yeah they're going to be the most beautiful and smartest because they're the ONLY two people in the world.
